SBI Clerk Vacancy 2025 – State-Wise Breakdown

SBI has announced 5180 regular vacancies and 403 backlog vacancies. Candidates can apply for only one state/UT.

Eligibility Criteria for SBI Clerk 2025

Educational Qualification

• Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university.
• Final year students can apply, but proof of graduation must be provided before 31st Dec 2025.
• Ex-servicemen with equivalent Army/Navy/Air Force certificates are eligible.

Age Limit (as on 01.04.2025)

• Min: 20 years
• Max: 28 years

Age relaxation applicable for SC/ST, OBC, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and widows/divorced women.

SBI Clerk Salary & Benefits

• Basic Pay: ₹26,730 (including increments for graduates)
• Total Monthly Salary in Metro Cities: ~₹46,000

Allowances: DA, HRA, transport allowance, medical benefits, pension, LFC, and career growth opportunities.

SBI Clerk Selection Process 2025

The selection will be in three stages:

1. Preliminary Exam (Qualifying) – 100 Marks, 1 Hour

• English Language – 30 Qs
• Numerical Ability – 35 Qs
• Reasoning Ability – 35 Qs

2. Main Exam (Merit Based) – 200 Marks, 2 Hr 40 Min

• General/Financial Awareness – 50 Marks
• General English – 40 Marks
• Quantitative Aptitude – 50 Marks
• Reasoning & Computer Aptitude – 60 Marks

3. Local Language Test – For candidates without proof of local language studied in 10th/12th.

Negative marking: 0.25 marks deduction for each wrong answer in both exams.
