OUAT Recruitment 2026 Eligibility
Candidates must meet the prescribed educational qualifications for the respective post.
Consultant
Candidates should be retired Professors in Soil Science or Agronomy.
Young Professional-I
Candidates should have a B.Sc. degree in Agriculture or Horticulture.
Young Professional-II
Candidates should have an M.Sc. (Ag.) in Soil Science or Agronomy.
Project Assistant
Candidates should possess a Diploma in Agriculture or Horticulture.
Field Assistant
Candidates should have passed Matriculation and possess relevant experience in agricultural research.
Age Limit
The minimum age requirement is 21 years. The maximum age varies according to the post:
- Consultant – 65 years
- Young Professional-I – 45 years
- Young Professional-II – 45 years
- Project Assistant – 35 years
- Field Assistant – 45 years
A 5-year relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable to eligible SC, ST and women candidates as per the recruitment rules.
OUAT Recruitment Selection Process
Selection will primarily be based on the walk-in interview and document verification.
If more than 15 candidates apply for a particular post, the university may conduct a written test and skill test. Such tests will be conducted at 10:30 AM.
Candidates should therefore be prepared for the possibility of appearing in a written or skill test in addition to the interview.
