SSC CHSL 2026 Vacancy and Posts

The recruitment is being conducted for various Group C posts in Ministries, Departments and Offices of the Government of India and other Constitutional or Statutory Bodies.

SSC CHSL Salary 2026

Candidates selected through SSC CHSL will receive salary according to the applicable Pay Matrix under the 7th Pay Commission.

LDC / JSA

Pay Level-2: ₹19,900 to ₹63,200

Data Entry Operator (DEO)

Depending on the department, DEO posts carry:

• Pay Level-4: ₹25,500 to ₹81,100
• Pay Level-5: ₹29,200 to ₹92,300

Data Entry Operator Grade ‘A’

Pay Level-4: ₹25,500 to ₹81,100

Apart from basic pay, selected employees may also receive applicable Central Government allowances.

SSC CHSL 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the prescribed nationality, age and educational qualification requirements.

Educational Qualification

For LDC/JSA and most DEO posts, candidates must have passed Class 12th or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.

For DEO/DEO Grade ‘A’ posts in specified departments, candidates must have passed 12th Standard in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent.

Candidates appearing in their Class 12 examination can also apply, provided they obtain the required qualification by 7 October 2026.

The age limit is 18 to 27 years as on 1 August 2026.

SSC CHSL 2026 Selection Process
