Subhadra Yojana 5th Instalment to Be Disbursed on Raksha Bandhan
Over one crore women enrolled under Odisha’s Subhadra Yojana are set to receive the scheme’s fifth instalment on August 28, coinciding with Raksha Bandhan.
Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida announced that the state-level disbursal event will be held in Nayagarh. Eligible applications verified and recommended by district administrations by August 28 will be included in the payout, subject to fulfilment of all eligibility criteria.
Each eligible beneficiary will receive ₹5,000 through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Women who were eligible but missed earlier instalments will receive the pending five instalments together after the completion of the required verification process.
The government has received more than 3.17 lakh new applications during the current financial year, with many applications already undergoing field verification.

Launched on September 17, 2024, the Subhadra Yojana provides eligible women with ₹10,000 annually in two instalments—around Raksha Bandhan and International Women’s Day. The assistance is planned for five years, taking the total benefit to ₹50,000 per beneficiary.
For the 2026–27 financial year, the Odisha government has allocated ₹10,145 crore for the scheme. More than ₹20,648 crore has already been transferred to over one crore women through the first four instalments.
